Gifts and Plans

So, Let’s start with a question.  What is the craziest thing you got for Christmas this year?  Or, most odd, useless, whatever.

My brother gave us a figurine of a cat with his tail in the fishbowl.  While nice it won’t work for us.  The cats would knock it over and break it in a heartbeat and it is nothing I collect.

I am going to see if I can return it and get credit on Amazon or something.  My brother used to give the cool stuff from my Wish list but, I think since he has a new, granddaughter now, he is probably focusing on her and that side of the family.

My husband gave me his sickness.  So annoying.  He got sick with this sinus thing and I have had symptoms for 2-3 days now.  Luckily, I have an extra  Z-Pak my doctor gave me, so I started it today.  My ears are ringing terribly and I feel like I am under water.  I know a lot of friends  who are also sick, so this is going around again.

It is pretty outside, despite the fact that it is cold.  I love Las Vegas and waking up to see the tops of the mountains or even the top of a Casino Sign.  I love the hustle and bustle and excitement that go along with it.

What is sad though, is I really wanted to go to the Strip for New Years.  I have never experienced anything like that before.  Originally, my Mother-In-Law said I could stay at her place and we would do something or go to one of the hotels.  Then, she learned that a lot of streets will be blocked off and it will be wild so you should stay away from the Strip.  That totally changed her mind and now she doesn’t want me over.  My husband is working that night, but leaves around 11, so I guess I am walking to a friends house (3 doors down) and watching the Ball Drop with her.  It really sucks, but, better then what I used to do.  I’ve watched that Ball Drop every year on television and wish I could  get closer to it.
